We want to begin selling yellow Antioch T-shirts ($10.00), along with Beast Feast T-shirts, and give away a few Sisters in Christ T-shirts that are left.
We served food at the Victory Mission Shelter for Men on Friday April 12th. There were only four of us, and we finished serving food to about 15-20 men after just 20 minutes, didn't take very long. When we got ready to leave, everyone thanked us and I didn't think a whole lot about it until I saw this on Facebook:
"A big thank you to Antioch United Methodist Church for coming in and serving tonight at the men’s shelter. We love partnering with local churches who become the hands and feet of our Lord Jesus Christ."
That was THE quickest and nicest compliment (seriously) that I ever received after doing some community outreach! You just never know what kind of happiness you spread on any given day. Proverbs 14:21 says, “Whoever despises his neighbor is a sinner, but blessed is he who is generous to the poor.”- Pastor Kevin.
We have a teenager who was not coming to our church for a while because he said he didn't believe in God and didn't feel anything for church. After a series of events, this young person now feels a need for God and is now coming to our church, and came down to receive Communion recently.

Antioch Martial Arts meets at our church on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. Just show up after 6:00 and see Master Mike for more information. LOOKING AHEAD: We have doubled our attendance in the past three years! So join our awesome church family by attending Sunday worship on a regular basis. Please don't skip unless you are sick or out of town or working. Online is okay but there is nothing like interacting with each other in Sunday School and worship! When you see someone you do not know, walk up, extend your hand, and introduce yourself. Courtesy costs nothing. We want everyone to feel welcomed.

We packaged 19, 845 meals on December 19, 2023 for seniors who struggle to pay bills and afford food in Southwest Missouri. On November 21, 2023 we packaged 15,390 meals at Ozarks Food Harvest for seniors in Missouri counties who struggle to afford food. We have children's Sunday School class with Judy teaching and Anne assisting, at 9:30-10:30. Please let folks know that we are ready to teach kids at 9:30 on Sundays! :)
The first Saturday of the month is Men's Breakfast at 8:30 a.m. at Kad-E-Korner, 2633 E. Shelby, about 10 minutes north of the church. All men invited for food, devotion and fellowship.
Church Council is this Sunday October 8 at 12:15. All are welcome.
We planned to have another All-Church Clean Day on Saturday October 28, 10-2.
Thanks to all who helped us plan our Trunk or Treat Harvest Party last Sunday. It's scheduled for Saturday October 28 from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. We plan to have a tractor hayride, decorated trunks, a selfie wall for pictures, two inflatable, bounce houses, children's cake walk, and a raffle for a donated quilt. We had baptisms and church picnic in July at Fellow’s Lake. Hallelujah! Christmas in July was Sunday July 30 at both services.

We gave out food to 101 families and 233 people on Friday May 5th at Robberson Elementary School parking lot. Do you need space for your meetings or special events? We have spacious rooms and kitchen available during the week to rent for all kinds of groups or organizations. Call the church office Monday, Wednesday through Friday at 417-833-6171 if interested.
Do you feel overwhelmed by too many people in one space? Do you feel overwhelmed by over stimulation but you would like to go church? Do you feel drained after a social outings? We have a very small group at our Sunday 8:30 a.m. service. You can worship God with a small group of kind, friendly people and not feel overwhelmed or judged on Sunday at 8:30.
We packaged 4,824 meals on March 21 for the student backpack program of Ozarks Food Harvest in Springfield.
Thanks to all who attended our Beast Feast on February 18, 2023. We enjoyed great food and inspiring testimonies! We also had the Chili Cook-Off on Sunday January 29. Congratulations to Ginger, Melanie and Sarah for winning first, second , and third place, and congratulations to ALL who prepared and brought chili; it was a wonderful feast and fellowship.
Since we re-opened the church in January of 2021, we have increased our in-person attendance by the end of 2022. We are making good use of our space, with the Homeschoolers Academy meeting on Mondays and the Christian codependency group meeting on Tuesdays. We have done excellent community outreach with Crosslines Food Distributions and Ozarks Food Harvest. Between the Men's Breakfast, Sisters in Christ, Sunday School, Children's Church and Rooted youth ministry, there is something for everyone in this church.
We are studying the letter from the Apostle Paul to the Ephesians on Wednesdays at 6:00. Ephesians is the book of the Bible that gives us such beloved Bible verses like: "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast." If those awesome teachings appeal to you, join us on Wednesdays at 6:00. Praise Team rehearsal at 6:30. Choir practice at 7:15.
Many of our church members went to Ozarks Food Harvest to help package food in 2022. Pastor Kevin counted up how many senior food boxes and student backpack meals we packaged for six months this year, January, February, May, July, September, and November! Those of you who packaged food at Ozarks Food Harvest…we packaged a combined total of 65,168 meals for seniors and students in 2022! Way to go, Team Antioch! We're going to do it again soon in 2023!

It was a joy to host the Saving Grace (formerly Teen Challenge) ladies, who gave their testimonies at church on Sunday June 26, 2022. If you missed it, just go to our Antioch Facebook page and scroll down to the 11:00 service video on June 26, 2022, and you will see the ladies give their life-changing testimonies at about the thirty (30) minute mark.
Ozarks Food Harvest food packaging is Tuesday July 19.
The Awesome Antioch Youth group will provide a presentation about their Nashville Mission Trip on Sunday July 17, after the 11:00 service. They stayed at a church in the middle of Nashville, and collaborated with the church by helping with their monthly homeless luncheon and served food to the homeless in Nashville. They also worked at the Second Harvest Food Bank of Nashville to sorted and packaged dry foods. Lastly, they are volunteered at Nashville Humane Association to help look after pets and help with physical labor around the facility.
Our nineteen (19) Antioch members and friends gave out food to 588 people and 182 families on Friday June 3, 2022 at Robberson elementary parking lot. That is the most people in any one food distribution!
GREAT JOB Mark, Melanie, Bob, Sarah, Steve, Nicole, Andy, Stephanie and Pastor Kevin for giving out Crosslines food to 129 families and 383 people on the first Friday of May, 2022! Way to go Team Antioch...ooRAH!!!
“Feed the hungry, and help those in trouble. Then your light will shine out from the darkness, and the darkness around you will be as bright as noon." - Isaiah 58:10 (NLT). We had a beautiful Easter Resurrection morning on Sunday April 17! Great to have so many in two services, with anointed praise and worship, thanks to Darrell, Sandee, Gayla, Aaliyah, our wonderful choir and praise team. BIG thanks to our youth directors Sarah and Michael and our youth group members Dakota, Katlin, Abby, Aaliyah and Adrian, and Gayla and Cynthia for making a very wonderful early Easter service. Special thanks to Scott and all of our Mighty Men of God who provided a fantastic Easter breakfast, and special thanks to Nicole and Dianna who were in the nursery.

Thanks to everyone who helped package Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes. We got 119 this year, way more than previous years! All glory to God and for the children in 170 countries!

We packaged nearly 600 food boxes tonight that will feed the needy in 20 counties of Southwest Missouri. They said we were the best group, second only to the National Guard, in number of boxes. We worked with other volunteers. Way to go Team Antioch...ooRAH!!

Psalm 34:17-19 (TPT), "…when holy lovers of God cry out to him with all their hearts, the Lord will hear them and come to rescue them from all their troubles. The Lord is close to all whose hearts are crushed by pain, and he is always ready to restore the repentant one. Even when bad things happen to the good and godly ones, the Lord will save them and not let them be defeated by what they face."
In June, the Church Council decided to bring back hymnals, offering plate, and the Bibles into the sanctuary, and to open up all the pews in the sanctuary for seating, since we are now in the "yellow phase" of the Springfield-Greene county 'Road to Recovery'.

We had a great fishing tournament on Saturday May 8. Big thanks to Scott, Randy and Crystal for helping to organize, and thanks to everybody who participated.
We gave out 270 people and 100 families at the Crosslines Food Distribution at Robberson Elementary School on Friday May 7th. What a blessing to give out free food and to be the hands of Jesus for the community!
We gave out Crosslines food to over twenty families and over fifty people on Saturday May 1st at Silver Springs Park.
The AAY garage sale will be postponed to later in the year. Thank you to those who donated items and offered to volunteer their time. Unfortunately we didn't meet our goal of volunteers to have the event. We will have more events coming up this summer and probably a Fall garage sale, so stayed tuned!

PRAISE REPORTS: Stroke victim church member had successful left eye surgery; and has been getting better since March stroke. Another church member Rick had several tests for prostate cancer and they all came back negative. Another church member Sam tested negative for covid-19 and had nothing in his esophagus. Another church member Carol had successful back surgery. Another church member Mary Lou went in for an MRI on cysts on kidneys and no cancer. Eight adults and five teenagers gave out food on Wednesday July 22nd, 2020 at the Crosslines Free Food Distribution in Springfield. The weather was hot but so was our Outreach, and we love being the hands of Jesus for our community! Way to go, Team Antioch, ooRAH!

2020 PRAISE REPORTS: We have had several members healed of hip pain, back pain, knee pain, in some cases cancer and insomnia and covid-19 recovery! PRAISE GOD!

We are seeing HEALING MIRACLES even thru our online connection. Hip pain HEALED. Back pain HEALED. Knee pain HEALED INSTANTLY. Successful surgery! New job for our second service piano player! Fever HEALED. Covid-19 HEALED! Everyone we are praying for are doing well! PRAISE REPORT: A church member's 94 year old father had successful hip surgery! PRAISE REPORT: A man was healed in his back and hip. NEW JOB: Our second service pianist got a new job! She will be teaching Freshman level Science next school year at New Covenant Academy! KNEE HEALED: Pastor commanded a woman's knee to be healed on prayed for Jonele’s knee Wednesday and it started feeling better immediately. By the next day the pain was completely gone. She could lift her foot!
PRAISE REPORT: Two church members had tested positive for covid-19. They are healed and no further spread in our church!
BUMP DISAPPEARED! At the end of February 2020, the pastor was asked to pray for a young woman who suddenly noticed an abnormal growth on her neck that was hard and getting bigger. Her doctor had scheduled a CT scan. Pastor Kevin and church members commanded the bump to wither, shrink and go away, in the authority of Jesus' name! On Sunday February 23, it was announced that the bump was GONE and that the doctor cancelled the CT scan! All glory to God! Faith still moves mountains!
CANCER HEALED! On Sunday January 26, 2020, church member Pat shared that she was diagnosed with cancer after a lumpectomy. Pat was told that the cancer had spread throughout her body. A few of us prayed for Pat at the Circle of Prayer. She woke up Monday morning, God spoke to her and told her there was no cancer. She had a CAT & PET scan the next week. She got the results on Thursday January 30th — NO CANCER! Faith still moves mountains! (Acts 3:16)
PRAISE REPORT: After almost three weeks of hearing problems, a church member received prayer at church. Three days later, hearing problem GONE! All glory to JESUS!
PRAISE REPORT: A church member had such pain in his knee that he couldn't walk. The clinic said he had no cartilage and fluid on the knee. He prayed, and one morning he woke up and pain and problem were GONE instantly! All glory to GOD!! Healing still happens!
PRAISE REPORT: The pastor was recently asked to pray for a friend's mother who was diagnosed with lung cancer. On Monday December 17, 2018 she said the cat scan showed the two tumors are GONE! She said, "Thank you, God works in mysterious ways." All glory to GOD!! Healing still happens!
PRAISE REPORT: A church member asked the pastor to pray for her husband's excruciating back pain at the circle of prayer at the altar last Sunday. On Monday December 17, 2018 his wife shared, "PRAISE GOD! PRAISE GOD! PRAISE GOD! Steve's back is a whole lot better!!! In fact, he said the pain is gone! He is still sore, but he's able to get up and move around some. Thank you for praying with me." All glory to GOD!
PRAISE REPORT: Optic nerve stroke greatly improved after laying on of hands and prayer! Lung pain was healed instantly, pain in lung and torso almost completely gone! PRAISE REPORT: "After church today we had a prayer circle. We prayed for each other and our families. I have said before I believe in miracles and here is why. I not only witnessed pain being removed from others. Praise God! I also was in terrible pain this morning. I am used to daily pain, but today was hitting me hard. I felt some relief from pain after prayer, so we all prayed again for more relief. I felt a little more relief. I am now home and although not totally pain free, my pain levels are even less than they are on a daily basis. Again Praise God. Took me a little longer to feel the blessing, but I did."
So far we've got gout pain healed, back pain healed, shoulder pain decreased, osteoarthritis pain decreased! Thank you Lord! Jesus is still on the throne!
PRAISE REPORT: A few weeks ago, the pastor's friend said: "My husband is very sick. I am asking for prayer warriors. He has had the flu but it has compromised his immune system. Thank you." A few hours later, that same friend wrote: "It is amazing how blessed we are to have so many wonderful friends. My husband was really having trouble breathing when I asked for prayer warriors. As I began getting comments of prayers back, he started breathing well. He wanted me to thank all of you and tell you how much he appreciates your prayers. God definitely intervened... Praise His holy name. I watched a miracle happen."
We laid hands and prayed for a church member on Sunday November 3rd with bad back pain. On a pain level scale of 1-5, she said her pain was a "6". After we commanded the back to be healed in Jesus' name, her pain level went down to a 3, on a scale of 1-5. Thank you Lord!
PRAISE REPORT: We've been praying for our local high school for the past few months. Last year at this time, there were thirty-five (35) physical altercations broken up by school resource officers. At the beginning of this school year, there's been only one! The power of prayer is working to make our high school blessed!! Come this Saturday September 28 to pray with us from 9:00 to 9:30 a.m.
PRAISE REPORT: A church member went into the hospital on a Tuesday with blockage in abdomen. We prayed on Wednesday June 26, and on Thursday the blockage is GONE and he went home that day. All glory to JESUS! Our church broke the record for the number of families given food, 209 families served on Friday May 3, 2019! Way to go, Team Antioch! All for the glory of God.

A young boy prayed to receive Jesus as his Lord and Savior on Sunday December 2nd, 2018. Thank you Lord! We garnered the applause of Heaven!
We gave out food to 183 people and 108 families at the Crosslines Food Distribution on Friday April 6th! We also gave out food to 152 people and 48 families at the Crosslines Food Distribution on Saturday March 10th! THANK YOU JESUS! We pray after both 8:30 and 11:00 worship services. We prayed for several church members throughout October. One lady had her gout pain gone in her knee instantly. The gout pain decreased in her foot, from a level 7 to a level 2 on a scale of 1-7. This lady walked into church with a cane, and walked out of church WITHOUT her cane. One the same day, one man's back pain decreased and his brother in law's knee pain was gone instantly.
